We know you're probably all sick and tired (no pun intended) of hearing and reading so much about Corona Virus as there seems to be very little good news going on regarding it at the moment. But we wanted to do a quick post just to reassure anyone that plans on diving with us this season. As proud members of the Divers Alert Network we follow their recommendations closely. As such we would like to let any customers hiring dive equipment from us know that we sanitise our equipment by submerging it in a 10% bleach solution for 10 - 15 minutes. For those of you that want to go the extra step we will also provide Biodegradable Anti-Bacterial Wipes if you want to further clean them. On top of this we also offer a reef-friendly Mask De-fog to stop people spitting into their masks. Thankfully there are, as of yet, no reported cases in Orkney *touch wood* but whether this lasts is anyone's guess. One positive we can rely on is as the only dive school on the islands we are generally the only people at our shore diving sites apart from the occasional walker, so if you want to avoid the crowds there are not many better places to do so! Our final note though is that as with all diving the final call rests with the individual if you feel unwell then contact us and we will do all we can to rearrange your dives if possible because without sounding selfish we'd rather not catch it ourselves!
