So this is a blog post for the guys really, one of the details we need when people are booking is your chest size. This helps us ensure we get the right sized drysuit for you and gives us a good idea what sized hood you'll need too! Most people rarely if ever need to give this measurements so don't know what it is or how to take it, so thought we'd pop together this little how to blog.
Try and make sure the tape goes across the fullest part of your chest, under the armpit, just above the nipple line.
This is super easy, the only thing you need is a chest and a tapemeasure, in a dream world you've got someone else who can help but if not it's easy to do yourself (Instructor Rob demonstrating how to here).
Under the drysuit we recommend wearing a thermal top, sports jumper, so it makes sense to wear these when doing the measurement.
Make a note of the measurement either in inches or cm.
Once you've got this on, stand straight with your arms by your side wrap the tapemeasure around yourself under your armpits. The next step is to try and adjust it so the tape is around the fullest part of your chest with the final part of the process being to note down the number and send it across to us as part of your booking form.
Simple as that, but just as an extra safety net we also ask for your T-shirt size and if one is crazily different to the other and we're confused we'll get in touch!
